Leonor Beleza
President of the Board of Directors, Champalimaud Foundation
Leonor Beleza graduated in Law from the Faculdade de Direito at the Universidade de Lisboa, where she also served as Assistant Professor.
Throughout her professional career, she has held various prominent public and private positions, including Secretary of State for the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (1982-1983), Secretary of State for Social Security (1983-1985), and Minister of Health (1985-1990). Elected as a member of Parliament on several occasions, she served as Vice-President of Parliament between 1991-1994 and 2002-2005, and she is currently a member of the Council of State.
She has been the President of the Champalimaud Foundation since its creation in 2004, established by its founder António de Sommer Champalimaud.
