Américo Carola

Head of the Investment Banking Division, Millennium bcp

Américo Carola is in banking for 33 years and is the Head of the Investment Banking Division of Millennium BCP since May 2023.

Américo joined BPA (later incorporated in BCP) in 1991 and served in several positions before becoming BCP’s Head of Project and Structured Finance until 2012. Since then he has served as Head of the Specialized Recovery Division dealing with SME’s and Corporate’s Non Performing Exposures and Loans, Head of the Real Estate Business Division dealing with real estate financing and Foreclosed Assets disposal, and Head of the Large Corporates Commercial Division dealing with listed Corporate Clients.

Américo has studied Economics at Lisbon University, and completed a Management Programme at AESE/IESE and the BCP Strategic Management Programme at INSEAD.
